¿Internet conmutado en Ubuntu?

    Hola, acabo de instalar Ubuntu en mi casa. Decir que soy nuevo en Linux sería decir que sé demasiado, je je. El asunto es que tengo un módem telefónico y uso Internet conmutado, sí, ya sé que estamos en el 2008 y que debería cambiarme a banda ancha, pero por lo pronto ese es el que tengo. El asunto es que descargué la dichosa herramienta "Scanmodem" y yá me creó la respectiva carpeta "modem", pero ahora no sé que hacer.

    Aquí les dejo el archivo modemdata.txt y un .rar con la carpeta modem comprimida.

    Hace tiempo que no ando con los modems y por lo que veo el modem es un motorola no muy bien soportado, pero abajo de eso dice que se encontro el soporte por otro lado
    1057:3052 has a Motorola chipset, poorly supported by Motorola itself
    However Zello discovered that drivers written to support Smartlink modems do support the 1057:3052 chipset!!
    It sufficed to add 1057:3052 to the list of modem cards recognized by the Smartlink slamr driver.
    There is a ungrab-winmodem driver used in conjunction with slamr, which must have 1057:3052
    similarly added. See messages from Zello:

    The modem is supported by the Smartlink
    plus the slmodemd helper utility. Read the
    DOCs/Smartlink.txt and Modem/DOCs/YourSystem.txt for follow through guidance.


    For 2.6.27-7-generic compiling drivers is necessary. As of October 2007 the current packages at

    fijate lo que dice a lo ultimo, "Para 2.6.27-7 es necesario compilar los drivers" y ahi mismo esta la direccion de los paquetes y mas arriba tenes mas links para leer como funciona, cualquier cosa pega un grito y se un poco mas detallista con el error asi te ayudamos todos. Saludos
